Simplified application circuit of RT6160A

Low Quiescent Current Buck-Boost Converter with I2C Interface

  • Up to 95% efficiency
  • I2C controlled interface (output voltages, soft-start time, regulator protection)
  • Enable/disable pin for external control of the converter IC
  • Input voltage range: 2.2V to 5.5V
  • Output voltage range: 2.025V to 5.2V @ 25mV/step
  • Maximum continuous output current: 3A @ VIN ≥ 3V & VOUT = 3.3V
  • Low quiescent current (1µA, non-switching)
  • Ultra-sonic mode to avoid unwanted noise (switching frequency is kept above 30kHz)

Best paired with RICHTEK’s RT9471/D switching battery charger

Application area: portable & wearable devices, Wi-Fi modules, TWS earpieces
