ViMOS Technologies GmbH, Taufkirchen/Munich, and Richtek Technology Corporation, Taiwan, closed a distribution contract for Europe on July 20th, 2017.
Richtek is one of the world’s leading analog IC companies, and ranks number six in semiconductors for power management solutions. Richtek is highly recognized internationally, and has been awarded numerous leading prizes for design and research, and for quality and vendor excellence. Richtek has also received rewards from international business magazines like Forbes. ViMOS is a newly-founded European distributor, launched in October 2016 from the Japanese Vitec Holdings Corporation, Ltd., the German Framos GmbH, and the Taiwanese WPG Holdings. With the agreement, ViMOS Technologies adds to its lineup state-of-the-art, inventive and comprehensive power management solutions for applications in industrial, automation, and medical systems in consumer electronics and automotive applications. The wide range of Richtek’s power management solutions include, among others, linear and switching regulators, multi-channel-ICs, Vcore, MOSFET, LED and motor drivers USB Interface and PD Controller and ICs for battery management. The products are ideally suited for consumer and industrial applications, and new, specific parts were also created for automotive markets. The portfolio of power management solutions is highly inventive and well suited for a broad range of use cases. Switching voltage regulators, for example, provide accurate output voltage regulation with high efficiency for applications from high power computing to battery powered mobile fields of operation. The Vcore power solutions products for Intel and AMD CPUs alike have been extensively verified in customer designs. They qualify with easy design, high reliability, high power density, low total BOM cost, and certainly with leading technical data. The ICs have been awarded several times with integration into Intel’s reference designs. ViMOS and Richtek have already closely cooperated before the closure of this contract, and will strengthen their collaboration to reach best in class customer service and satisfaction.
